Over the years

1962

Origins

Miguel Peragón, 16-year-old, cabinetmaker’s apprentice, begins his business career and runs a small custom furniture company.

1968

First bodywork

Thanks to a customer’s request to build a wooden body on a Pegaso Comet truck, the company begins its experience in industrial vehicle reconditioning.

1970

Specialization

Miguel begins to focus his business exclusively on bodywork for the transportation of goods, leaving the furniture business aside.

1975

Jump to other provinces

He begins to manufacture bodywork both at a regional level and in neighbouring provinces.

1976

First export

Miguel works with a German customer to import and distribute his product in Spain. He ends up manufacturing and exporting parts to German.

1985

“Carrocerías y Remolques Peragón”

Given the increased turnover and growth, “Carrocerías y Remolques Peragón” is founded.

1988

New production centre

A new production centre is created in Jaen to meet the needs of the domestic and international market.

1991

Liderkit is born

Its name taken from the words “Lider” and “Kit”, the company Liderkit was born. It manufactures aluminium bodies in kits with a protected design, with 80 workers at this point.

1996

“Prefabricados Peragón”

New designs are incorporated for manufacturing body kits, with insulating Sandwich panels and wood cores, thus creating a new company in the group: “Prefabricados Peragón”.

1999

New Facilities

Liderkit relocates production plan to the Guadiel Industrial Park in Guarroman, a strategic point the gateway to Andalusia next to the A-4. Allows efficient localisation and reduces logistical costs.

2000

Export to Europe

Liderkit begins to export body kits to Europe: Portugal, Germany, Belgium, France and Italy are first countries.

2003

Export Award

Liderkit is recognised with the Export Award by the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Jaen.

2004

First isothermal boxes

Liderkit creates a company within the group called “Termocube”, specialized in production of isothermal and refrigerated bodies.

2005

Production centre in Morocco

It crosses borders to export to Africa and establishes another production centre located in Morocco.

2006

Export to America

It continues its ambitious expansion plan and reaches exports to the American continent.

2013

Export to Asia

Liderkit continues to expand. In 2013, its products land in Asia.

2014

Export to Oceania

Liderkit completes its presence in the five continents, with export of body kits to Oceania.

2015

San Telmo Institute Award

Earns yet another prize. This time it is the Family Business Award from the San Telmo International Institute.

2016

Executive Awards

Another significant prize: Business Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th edition of the Executive Awards.

2018

Alas Award

Alas Award granted by Extenda, in the province of Jaen in the category of Exporting Company.

2020

IDEAL Award and Kingdom of Jaen

It receives awards from media such as IDEAL and Diario de Jaen for its career amd his contribution to the transportation industry and its improvement through R+D+i.

2021

New corporate image

It renews its image and corporate logo taking advantage of the 30th anniversary, giving it a more up-to-date and aesthetic appearance.

New logistics warehouse
Liderkit expands its facilities with a new logistics warehouse.

Spanish Chamber of Commerce Award
It receives The Second Prize for Digitalization and Innovation from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

Jaen Provincial Council Award

It is awarded the Emprende e Innova Award, granted by the Provincial Council of Jaén.

Liderkit today

With more than 250 workers, it exports to more than 60 countries and offer more ecological, recyclable and lighter bodies adapted to any need.
