New filter systems, surfaces and equipment against the Covid-19

With the development of the project and taking advantage of the knowledge acquired in previous projects, materials with a photocatalytic coating were obtained that allows these treated elements with decontaminating, antimicrobial, self-cleaning and disinfectant capabilities.

These elements range from air filtration systems, such as half face masks or filters for full masks, sanitary surfaces or for delicate work, and disinfection equipment such as those used during Covid-19 pandemic. Those objects or treated surfaces, under the incidence of direct ultraviolet light (UV) from the Sun or produced by lamps, are photocatalytically activated, giving rise to the activation of the coating capable of eliminating contamination from the external or internal air through treated filters or generating surfaces self-cleaning and capable of eliminating viruses and bacteria when the come into contact with them. The method of implementing the photoactive coating on the different elements or surfaces was highly researched and patented in order to obtain optimal results in its use.
